Fishing Schools

Joe Malat w/ a fish Beginnners will "get their feet wet" with this interesting and exciting introduction to surf fishing. In addition to mastering the basics, participants will have the opportunity to learn valuable tips and techniques from the pros. Headquarters for all schools is the Comfort Inn South in Nags Head.

2008 Schedule

April 17-20
October 9-12

Instructors are Joe Malat and Mac Currin. Both are experienced surf fishing experts and skilled "hands on" teachers who offer personal instruction in a comfortable, relaxed atmosphere.

Each school features an evening social, tackle giveaways, a full "classroom" day including lunch, plus one and a half days of fishing and instruction on the beach.

Bait is supplied for all fishing sessions, and everyone will receive an autographed copy of "Surf Fishing" by Joe Malat. Participants must bring their own rods, reels and tackle for the fishing sessions.

Tuition is $295.00 per person, with a maximum of 25 per school.
Accommodations and meals other than the Thursday evening social and Friday lunch are not included.
